There will be two meetings on Thursday evening, May 8, 2008, about the proposed program to eradicate the Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM),including a proposal to spray a pheromone that will disrupt the moth's mating over San Francisco and most of the Bay Area. The sprayings will be repeated every one to three months for anywhere from two to five years. The spraying is quite controversial, with many people concerned about possible effects on people's health.
